Our Vouvray is produced in this superb region of Touraine. Its climate is under a maritime influence which provides its vines with a perfect gentleness.
Cut out of the freestone of old quarries, this place has the perfect humidity and temperature for the long maturation in wine cellars that is required for it to reveal its full flavours.
Vouvray is produced from Chenin Blanc, a grape that finds unique expression in the Loire Valley.
It is sufficiently lively to be made with fine bubbles, while at the same time keeping all of its fruitiness.
The Chenin grape is recognizable with its heavy, tight bunches which turn to gold in the sun, in some years becoming so concentrated that they are almost like currants.
