The story
The first seeds of the idea of creating a Cave Cooperative were sown in 1926. At the instigation of Henri Bonnet, founder president, the Cave de Die Jaillance was established in 1950 with 25 hectares of vineyards and an initial output of 80 000 bottles.
In 1971, after the Cave had undertaken much research and effected considerable improvements in the winemaking process, the AC decree was modified and the Ancestral Diois Method established.
In 1999 output exceeded 7 million bottles for the first time and the Cave was accorded the ISO 9002 certification.
In 2001, the entire production was placed under the Jaillance banner, and become the first brand of sparkling wine AC in France. That same year, Jaillance took over the Brouette Petit-Fils company based in Bourg-sur-Gironde (Bordeaux) and joined forces with the Cave de Lugny in Burgundy.
Jaillance is the leader of the AC SPARKLING brands in France.
